What is Counselling?

Counselling is a therapeutic process in which a trained professional, known as a counsellor or therapist, helps individuals explore and address personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. It provides a safe and confidential environment for individuals to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Counselling aims to promote self-awareness, improve mental health, enhance coping skills, and facilitate personal growth. It can be applied to various issues, including relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and more. 


The counselling process typically involves active listening, empathetic support, guidance, and the development of strategies to overcome difficulties. Different counselling approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoanalysis, and person-centered therapy, offer diverse techniques to suit individual needs. Overall, counselling is a valuable resource for individuals seeking assistance in managing life's challenges and improving their emotional well-being.

Telehealth Counselling

We understand that life can be busy and it's not always easy to make it to in-person therapy sessions. That's why we offer telehealth services that allow you to connect with our therapists from the comfort of your own home. Our telehealth sessions are conducted online via video call or via a phone call and are secure, private and convenient.

What to expect in a typical session

As you enter the treatment room with your therapist, you will see a comfortable massage bed and chairs. You will be taken through an initial assessment where you work with the therapist on your goals for therapy. You will then have the option to lie down on the massage bed or sit in the chair opposite the therapist. Using the bed allows you to completely immerse yourself in the therapy and can be a great solution for those who find talking confronting (such as those who are affected by social anxiety).


If you have determined with your therapist that telehealth is the best option for you, the therapist will organise a session using either video or phone services.
